Sharad Navratri 2020 -2. Brahmacharini

Today is October 14, 2020 and Sharad is the second day of Navratri, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped on this day. The form of Brahmacharini Devi is fully lit and very magnificent. The garland of chanting in her right hand “Kamandalu” remains in the left hand. This day is devoted to green colour. Goddess Brahmacharini did severe penance to get Lord Shiva as her husband. She performed hard austerity and due to which she was called Brahmacharini. 

In this form, Goddess Durga or Parvati goes to the verdant mountains to do penance. This is where her prospective consort, Lord Shiva is. She is engrossed here in penance. The color of the goddess Brahmacharini is green, which symbolizes development, nature and energy. 

The auspicious nine-day festival of Navratri has started, and devotees have begun their vrat with utmost devotion to Mata Durga, whom they lovingly address as Mata Rani. आज 18 अक्टूबर 2020 और शरद नवरात्रि का दूसरा दिन हैं, इस दिन देवी ब्रह्मचारिणी की पूजा की जाती है। ब्रह्मचारिणी देवी का स्वरूप पूर्ण ज्योतिर्मय एवं अत्यन्त भव्य है। इनके दाहिने हाथ में जप की माला एवं बायें हाथ में कमण्डलु रहता है। यह दिन हरे रंग के लिए समर्पित है। देवी ब्रह्मचारिणी ने भगवान शिव को अपने पति के रूप में पाने के लिए घोर तपस्या की। उसने कठिन तपस्या की और जिसके कारण उसे ब्रह्मचारिणी कहा गया। 

इस रूप में, देवी दुर्गा या पार्वती तपस्या करने के लिए पहाड़ों पर जाती हैं। यह वह जगह है जहाँ उसका भावी संघचालक, भगवान शिव है। वह यहां तपस्या में तल्लीन हो जाती है। ब्रह्मचारिणी देवी का रंग हरा हैं, जो विकास, प्रकृति और ऊर्जा का प्रतीक है। 

नवरात्रि का शुभ नौ दिवसीय त्योहार शुरू हो गया है, और भक्तों ने माता दुर्गा को पूरी श्रद्धा के साथ व्रत शुरू किया है, जिसे वे प्यार से माता रानी के रूप में संबोधित करते हैं। इन नौ दिनों के दौरान, माँ दुर्गा के नौ अलग-अलग रूपों की पूजा की जाती है। और दूसरे दिन, द्वितीय तिथि, भक्त देवी के ब्रह्मचारिणी अवतार की प्रार्थना करते हैं।

Once a man was on his way to a business. Along the way there were watermelon crops on both sides. Seeing the big watermelon on the small vine, he cursed God, 'Oh God, you have no pity, put such a big watermelon in this little vine, you must have thought something and moved on.  For a long while he was walking on the way and there was plenty of thirst, it was noon. He thought he would take some rest after drinking the water, then move on. A little away he saw a well, went to the well, drank water and there was a big neem tree nearby, made up his mind to rest in its shadow. Seeing the neem fruit, he again got angry with God, atleast, you would have thought something, a melon on the vine and such a small fruit on such a big neem tree, you have really done injustice.  Then he lay down. Sharad Navratri 2020 -6. Katyayani

Today is day 6 of the auspicious nine days of Navratri which is dedicated to goddess Katyayani. Navratri celebrates the nine avatars of the goddess Durga and each day is dedicated to one avatar. Since there are different avatars of the goddess, each of them signify a particular colour too. Devi Katyayani is the daughter of sage Katyayan, and got her name from her father.   This Goddesses has four hands, she has a sword in one hand, a lotus in the other hand. She has one right hand in fearless form and the other in boon posture. She rides a lion. She is revered as the presiding deity of Vrajamandal. Their forms are very grand and divine. Their colors are shiny and phosphor like gold.  Maa Katyayani is considered particularly important for unmarried girls. The girls, whose marriages are delayed or have trouble in marriage, worship the mother Katyayani's quadrilateral form to get rid of their trouble.
