Sharad Navratri 2020 -7. Kalratri

Today is the seventh day of Navratri which is dedicated to Goddess Kalratri. The nine incarnations of Goddess Durga are worshiped in Navratri and each day is dedicated to one avatar. From Gauri's innocent and young avatar to married and fierce avatar, in these nine days, we remember the power of various aspects of being a woman. Goddess Kalaratri is the fiercest and most ferocious form of Nav Durga. 

Since the goddess has different avatars, each of them also signifies a particular color. Goddess Kalratri, when Goddess Parvati removed the outer golden skin to kill the demons called Shumbha and Nishumbha, she was known as Goddess Kalratri. Kalratri is the fiercest and most cruel form of Goddess Parvati. 

It is believed that the planet Saturn is controlled by Goddess Kalratri. Goddess Kalratri is dark black in color and is rides on donkey. Her favorite flower is jasmine. Goddess Kalratri is worshiped on the seventh day. This day is dedicated to gray color. She gives fearlessness to the seekers and destroys the wicked. आज नवरात्रि का सातवा दिन हैं जो देवी कालरात्रि को समर्पित हैं। नवरात्रि में देवी दुर्गा के नौ अवतारों की पूजा होती हैं और प्रत्येक दिन एक अवतार को समर्पित है। गौरी के मासूम और युवा अवतार से लेकर विवाहित और भयंकर अवतार, इन नौ दिनों में, हम एक महिला होने के विभिन्न पहलुओं की शक्ति को याद करते हैं। कालरात्रि देवी पार्वती का उग्र और सबसे क्रूर रूप है। 

चूंकि देवी के अलग-अलग अवतार हैं, उनमें से प्रत्येक एक विशेष रंग को भी दर्शाता है। देवी कालरात्रि, जब देवी पार्वती ने शुंभ और निशुंभ नामक राक्षसों को मारने के लिए बाहरी सुनहरी त्वचा को हटा दिया, तो उन्हें देवी कालरात्रि के रूप में जाना जाता था। कालरात्रि देवी पार्वती का उग्र और सबसे क्रूर रूप है। 

ऐसा माना जाता है कि शनि ग्रह को देवी कालरात्रि द्वारा नियंत्रित किया जाता है। देवी कालरात्रि गहरे काले रंग की हैं और गधे की सवारी करती हैं। उसका पसंदीदा फूल चमेली है। सातवें दिन देवी कालरात्रि की पूजा की जाती है। यह दिन ग्रे रंग को समर्पित है। वह साधकों को निर्भयता प्रदान करती है और दुष्टों का विनाश करने वाली हैं। दानव, दैत्य, राक्षस, भूत और प्रेत इनके स्मरण मात्रा से ही भाग जाते हैं। इनकी कृपा से साधक सर्वथा भयमुक्त हो जाता हैं।

Once a man was on his way to a business. Along the way there were watermelon crops on both sides. Seeing the big watermelon on the small vine, he cursed God, 'Oh God, you have no pity, put such a big watermelon in this little vine, you must have thought something and moved on.  For a long while he was walking on the way and there was plenty of thirst, it was noon. He thought he would take some rest after drinking the water, then move on. Today is day 6 of the auspicious nine days of Navratri which is dedicated to goddess Katyayani. Navratri celebrates the nine avatars of the goddess Durga and each day is dedicated to one avatar. Since there are different avatars of the goddess, each of them signify a particular colour too. Devi Katyayani is the daughter of sage Katyayan, and got her name from her father.   This Goddesses has four hands, she has a sword in one hand, a lotus in the other hand. She has one right hand in fearless form and the other in boon posture. She rides a lion. She is revered as the presiding deity of Vrajamandal. Their forms are very grand and divine. Their colors are shiny and phosphor like gold.  Maa Katyayani is considered particularly important for unmarried girls. The girls, whose marriages are delayed or have trouble in marriage, worship the mother Katyayani's quadrilateral form to get rid of their trouble.
